São Paulo, Brazil - March 11, 2024 - Pirates Press Records and Brazilian streetpunk legends BLIND PIGS have teamed up to reissue the band’s self-titled LP - the first time the album has been pressed in over a decade and the first time it has ever been pressed on 12” vinyl. Click here to buy.

The album has also adopted the nickname of “the yellow album” among fans and band members alike. It is one of the most iconic from the São Paulo punk rock band, which features hits like “Amanhã Não Vai Mudar,” “O Idiota,” and “Sete de Setembro,” that are belted out by the ‘legion of nonconformists’ at every show of the group.

“The yellow album was a moment of musical evolution for Blind Pigs, both in production and songwriting. It was the first time the band made an entire album at once, unlike the previous two, which combined songs from various phases,” recalls guitarist Gordo.

Originally released on CD in 2002 by Sweet Fury Records, the band's own label at the time, the ‘yellow cover’ brought enormous visibility to Blind Pigs, who were among the leading names in punk rock in Brazil. The new version of the album, released by Pirates Press Records in the USA and Europe, has been remastered to play at 45 RPM, further improving the sound quality. The reissue also includes a booklet with unreleased photos and a text about the creation of the album.

“It's crazy to think that one of the most important albums in Blind Pigs' career has been out of print for over a decade. But now it's available again, in its definitive version,” says vocalist Henrike.

Despite being an international release, a limited number of LP copies will be exclusively for sale at the two shows Blind Pigs will play in São Paulo this weekend at Hangar 110. On Saturday, March 16th, the band will perform their debut album “São Paulo Chaos” in its entirety, along with some of the group's main hits to complete the setlist. The following night, March 17th, Blind Pigs will play their self-titled front to back.
