On the topic of their new album, we hand you over to BWC frontman Shan Byrom to give some more insight into their new creation:

"The Only Life Worth Living spans the course of reaching rock bottom with a bank of broken hearts to throwing caution to the wind and then cycling all the way back round again. The twist of folk instrumentation with modern rock entangles the collection of tracks into a whiplash of energies, while still remaining loyal to the decade formulated BWC sound."

With their unique, eclectic crossover style, Black Water County have built a reputation as a brilliant live band through many years of gigs and especially their much anticipated festival appearances. Following a full Summer of festivals Black Water County are once again hitting the road in November across England and Scotland to bring their new music to the masses. There is also a very special show in Bournemouth in December where the new album will be played in full!

About Black Water County

Hailing from South West UK, and celebrating a decade making music together, award-winning folk punk outfit Black Water County have deviated over time, from the well-trodden path of teenage insolence (plus a lot of booze) to a vigilant state of introversion; hoping to gleam affinity through stories of the downtrodden and heartbroken. With a necessary touch of spirit and spirits.

In both 2016 and 2018, Black Water County won their place on Fireball’s ‘Fuelling the Fire Tour’ supporting Less Than Jake, Flogging Molly, The Bronx, The Skints and more. With extensive and relentless touring, Black Water County have seen numerous sold out headline shows and tours, To date the bands’ UK festival appearances have included WOMAD, Boomtown Fair, Beautiful Days, Belladrum, Black Deer, Tunes in the Dunes, Camp Bestival, Larmer Tree, Teddy Rocks and Takedown Festival, along with hundreds of other festival appearances across the UK, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, The Netherlands and France.

Their debut album 'Taking Chances' was released in 2017, with the sophomore album 'Comedies and Tragedies' in 2020 being rudely interrupted by a global pandemic. Picking up when live shows returned, the band toured the UK twice in 2022, finally able to bring the 2nd album to sold out venues across the UK.

Ready to take on the next decade together, Black Water County are evolving throughout 2023, with refined musical direction and purpose. The journey is only just starting and everyone is invited to raise a glass and join the party.

Black Water County are:
Shan Byrom – Vocals, tin whistle, melodica
Tim Harris – Vocals + bass
Bradley Hutchings-Clarke – Guitar
Gavin Coles – Guitar, mandolin, banjo
Ollie Beaton – Drums
