Big Wheels are back with single, "What Are You Waiting For," with its warm, yet punchy vocal harmonies it’s the band's first single release on the legendary London Marquee Records label. Produced by acclaimed Michael Smith at RYP Recordings (Wolf Alice, Honey Lung, Bess Atwell, Weird Milk). This stellar release comes following a kinetic trail of singles and a successful UK tour with Sofar Sounds UK. "What Are You Waiting For," starts with an interplay of strumming guitars, it’s a musical masterpiece that slowly unfolds leading into harmonious dual vocals that grab listeners with its raw power and emotional depth. Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Big Wheels are a powerhouse golden-rock duo made up of Cass Ford and Lawson Doyle who had this to say of the track:

"This song is like the story of a lifetime. It’s always been floating around in the rehearsals, always unfinished. It wasn’t until we arrived in England in July, that the inspiration came. We had been going through some troubling times with a dear friend, and once the insanely gifted creative direction from Michael Smith was brought to the table, we knew exactly what we wanted to say. Michael is responsible for a lot of the sonic direction of the track; he is real genuine bloke and a very talented producer. It was a step up for us getting to work with him. We want the track to bring a sense of self empowerment to our listeners; something they can listen to and fuel the fire in their belly because at the end of the day, there’s no better time than now."

Big Wheels music combines nostalgia with a contemporary edge to produce a timeless sound. Their music is distinguished by their unique blend of classic rock influences and the dynamic vocals of Cass Ford and Lawson Doyle. With a shared love of blues, rock 'n' roll and country music, Big Wheels was formed in late 2021 in a sleepy Sunshine Coast suburb.

It is evident that Cass and Lawson have an undeniable song writing connection that illustrates their contrasting perspectives on romance, ego, life and individuality. Lawson's raw and powerful vocals blend seamlessly with Cass's soulful and emotive delivery, creating an unforgettable sonic tapestry. It is through their blend of unforgettable melodies, lush harmonies, enthralling guitar work, and lyrics that resonate with every aspect of life that Big Wheels has crafted a distinct musical identity influenced by Fleetwood  Mac, Oasis, Neil Young, and Jefferson Airplane. Previously, Big Wheels have supported renowned acts such as San Cisco, Pacific Avenue, Jack Botts, The Rions, DICE, and Rum Jungle. Their music has gained recognition both in Australia and the UK, with their previous single "Chain of Fire" being synced for use in ABC's chat show Frankly.

Following their successful UK tour, Big Wheels are already planning their return in 2024. The tour is expected to take them to major cities across the United Kingdom, where they will showcase their captivating live show to a wider audience. In addition to the UK tour, the band is also gearing up to release their debut EP in May 2024. This highly anticipated project will showcase the band's musical evolution and showcase their melodic songwriting talents. The EP promises to deliver a mix of upbeat tracks and heartfelt ballads, showcasing the wide range of Big Wheels' impressive musical abilities.
