bexx set to re-release debut single... but HEAVIER!

Rising pop artist bexx is revisiting her most popular song, with new versions of debut single ‘Hard To Love’ and we’re shining the spotlight on our fave - the heavy version.

First released in 2021, Hard To Love went viral on TikTok, with more than 2.5M views there, and another 1M views on Instagram.

Inspired by 80's synth-pop, with a punchy bassline and epic guitar solo, Hard To Love explores the lasting impacts of a toxic relationship. Subtle as a sledgehammer, with an euphoric quality that contrasts against its lyrics' underlying vulnerability, Hard To Love marked bexx as an artist worth paying attention to from the beginning.

This four-track rerelease and reimagining of Hard To Love breathes new life into the song. The Nu-metal inspired Hard To Love (Heavy Version), created with original producer TAKOOREE, lends the song an angry, driving pace that feels blistering with rage.

bexx says: "The heavy version of Hard To Love is my favourite, because it’s a genre of music that I really love, which people don’t expect me to love, because I make pop music. They don’t listen to the original and think ‘this would slap as a nu-metal song’ but they’re gonna hear this and discover a different side to me. It absolutely goes off when I perform it like this live, so I’m really excited for people to get this one into their playlists."
