Belgium's Barrel Smoke Ignites the Night through A Sonic Journey to the Electric 70s with 'Neon Light'
Neon Light emerged from the depths of a Led Zeppelin-inspired guitar riff, reminiscent of the early Zeppelin days, evoking memories of their legendary performances at the Royal Albert Hall. In terms of the song's mood and theme, our aim was to transport listeners to a 1970s strip club in the heart of New York City, shrouded in an enigmatic, dimly lit ambiance.
Picture crushed velvet seats, tables adorned with traces of cocaine and champagne glasses, all set against a backdrop of loud music and dazzling neon lights assaulting your senses. We wanted to create a soundtrack that conjured images of sultry dancers showcasing their talents, swaying to the rhythm, and gracefully twirling around polished chrome poles.
As you wake up in the alley adjacent to the bar, grappling with a pounding headache and a foggy memory, the pieces of the puzzle begin to fall into place. You recall anxiously awaiting your supplier to satisfy one of your favorite indulgences. Gradually, the recollections flood your mind—the seductive allure of the dancers, the allure of substances and alcohol, the eruption of violence and a chaotic brawl where everything spiraled out of control. Yet, above all, what lingers in your memory are those mesmerizing, buzzing neon letters flickering on the front wall.
