Belfast punkers The New Normal release single ‘OCD’

WHO ARE THE NEW NORMAL?
The New Normal are an explosive four-piece punk rock band based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

‘One of the most incendiary bands on the North’s live scene right now, the fiery quartet’s catchy and crushing pit anthems bring the thunder like Odin’s baby boy.’ — Hot Press Magazine, 2024

This has been an exciting year for the band. Notable gigs include a sold-out EP launch, a sold-out show supporting Drug Church (US), and two sold-out shows supporting Dead Fish (BRA). They rounded off the year supporting the queen of the punk scene, Laura Jane Grace and The Trauma Tropes (US).

A-Side: OCD
B-Side: Better Days

The New Normal’s next single release is titled OCD. With more than subtle nods to '90s West Coast punk, OCD sheds light on modern feelings of anxiety and facing internal conflict head-on. Featuring an infectious groove from drummer Neil, OCD’s rhythms beat thunderously in the chest, mirroring the anxiety expressed in the lyrics.

Better Days serves as the yin to OCD’s yang; rather than succumbing to the anxieties felt in OCD, Better Days is a two-minute declaration of not giving a f#*k.
