BAD//DREEMS ANNOUNCE EUROPEAN / UK TOUR
FOR THIS AUGUST & SEPTEMBER
NEW LIVE VIDEO RELEASED FOR ‘BLACK MONDAY’
FROM NEW ALBUM HOO HA! OUT NOW
Following great reviews and a #10 Australian ARIA chart entry from the release of their epic new album, HOO HA!, Adelaide’s Bad//Dreems announce a European/UK tour, visiting venues across the UK in London, Brighton, Bristol, Manchester, and Glasgow this September.
Stream/download HOO HA! via Farmer & The Owl Records/BMG on all platforms here.
The band also release a new live video today for one of HOO HA!’s most upbeat tracks - the punk-infused Black Monday. The performance was shot in their rehearsal space this June, watch it here.
“Black Monday takes its name from the severe and unexpected market crash in Australia in the 1980s,” explains singer Ben Marwe. “It doesn’t really have anything to do with that, though it does have a lot to do with the greased-up rat wheel we find ourselves straddling daily, and man’s obsession to backslap and handshake our way to a tumultuous future”.
Only a fool would disagree with Marwe in the current climate that we are all witnessing worldwide. The subject matter here is just one theme spelled out across HOO HA! tackling thoughtworthy home truths concerning Australia’s questionable history, and where it goes next. A theme that Bad//Dreems’ fans across the world can also now relate to.
Songs for HOO HA! were compiled in the incinerator, taken to Melbourne, and recorded with Dan Luscombe (Amyl and the Sniffers, Courtney Barnett, the Drones) at Soundpark Studio. The result epitomises the power of Bad//Dreems literate pub rock, and where high and low culture collides to paint a vivid picture of our current times.
