With roots deeply embedded in music royalty, amillionsons brings together an extraordinary lineup of vocalists. Taka Boom, renowned for her work with George Clinton’s Parliament, Undisputed Truth and musical icon Prince, brings her powerhouse vocals to the forefront, alongside her sister on backing vocals, 10 time Grammy award winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Chaka Khan. Adding to this illustrious trio is their brother, Mark Stevens also providing backing vocals, completing the trifecta of talent. Misti Blu Two is a reinterpretation of amillionsons’ Balearic Ibiza Anthem, infused with elements of soul, blues and chill-out vibes. With each vocalist bringing their unique flair and charisma to the table, Misti Blu Two is a family affair and a rare gem, featuring all three siblings lending their voices to create a harmonious blend of family talent.
Formed in the early 2000s, amillionsons quickly caught the attention of audiences and critics alike with their unique trip-hop, downtempo Balearic style and reverently irreverential sampling. Discovered and championed by the esteemed Pete Tong, the Nottingham-based electro collective made up of Andy Kulesza, Robin Junga and Matt Shelton, were the last band to be signed by Pete Tong to FFRR and then onto London Records/WMG. Primetime radio plays from BBC Radio royalty Steve Lemacq and Mary Anne Hobbs, who also cameoed in amillionsons’ first music video paved the way for features in magazines such as MixMag, DMC World and MUZIK and live performances at BBC Radio 1 Weekend in Ibiza at Café del Mar and Top Of The Pops.
