Australian Alternative Metallers HENCE CONFETTI Join Bird's Robe and Release Debut Self-Titled Record

Australian alternative metal project Hence Confetti have announced they will be joining the Bird’s Robe Records label roster for the release of their debut self-titled record on November 10th.

Formed by former Mish frontman Rowland Hines, the project began as an outlet for Hines to express his post-Mish and post-fatherhood emotions, as he relocated from Sydney to his hometown of Bathurst, before settling in Warnervale, NSW.

Hence Confetti - Buttons (official video)

Fans of the legendary underground metal records produced by Mish will recognise Hines’ impassioned vocal delivery, as well as the brooding undertones that often accompanied their music. But Hence Confetti paints a broader palette and uses different colours to communicate.

Singles Buttons and New Homes might be as heavy as it gets, but there’s a lot to explore in the dynamic sound of this new project.

Hence Confetti - New Homes (Visualiser)

Citing influences from classic bands like Botch, The Devin Townsend Project, Today Is The Day, Puscifer, Lo!,Mastodon, COG and Conjurer, the band wear their love for emotional heavy music proudly on their sleeve.

In this rare example of an isolation that spawned connection, experimental tentacles sent out by lead writer Hines allowed his farm rooted drummer and uprooted guitarist to pulse back their own tidal waves of loss and creation in parallel to his. From apogee to apex, burnt homes to new daughters, Hence Confetti's brand of amity as therapy has produced a haunting and evocative sound.

Hence Confetti is out through Bird’s Robe on Friday 10 November 2023
