Atlanta Cabaret Punks Sarah And The Safe Word Announce Summer Tour; Stream The Latest Single "Pornstar Martini"
Trek Runs June 26-July 7
"For anyone who finds themselves equally at home at a pop-punk concert as at a musical, there’s the queer cabaret rock stylings of Sarah and the Safe Word."- New Noise
"The lush dance ready melodies, over the top cabaret style flourishes, and infectious early 2000’s pop-punk sensibilities hit all the right notes. The band mirrors the same theatrical showmanship and zest for the stage as delightfully askew bands like The World/Inferno Friendship Society, Gogol Bordello, and even My Chemical Romance."- The Punk Site
"Sarah and the Safe Word creates music that stands apart from the crowd."- Spinning Thoughts

Audaciously daring Atlanta cabaret punk rock band Sarah And The Safe Word is heading out on tour this summer with The Weekend Run Club + Machinery of the Human Heart. The trek kicks off on June 26 in Washington, DC and winds down on July 7 in Denver, CO. See dates below. Tickets available at: linktr.ee/sarahandthesafeword.
The 4-piece released its latest single "Pornstar Martini" in April on Take This To Heart Records. The band's latest LP is 2023's 'The Book Of Broken Glass.'
Sarah and the Safe Word is comprised of Sarah Rose (vocals), Kienan Dietrich (guitar, vocals), Beth Ballinger (keys, vocals), Maddox Reksten (bass, vocals).
Since forming in 2015, they've kept themselves busy — being personally requested to join the lineup of the 2017 Vans Warped Tour by founder Kevin Lyman, making a cameo appearance on the CW's The Originals (playing a queer werewolf-witch wedding, no less!), gaining "Debut of the Year" praise from Alternative Press, embarking on several national tours around America, and signing to Take This To Heart Records in 2019.
"Sarah and the Safe Word exists in two worlds, each a century apart. The first is set behind a haze of cigarette smoke in a speakeasy’s back room, where daring storytelling of swashbucklers and a hot rod-racing demon only complements an already theatrical stage show. The second is the basement world of sweat-soaked punk shows and a collectivist mindset, encouraging free expression, sexual liberation, and community without boundaries." - Take This to Heart Records
