Australian singer-songwriter Angie McMahon has announced her biggest UK, EU, US and CA tour including London’s EartH on the 29th August. This tour will feature Angie’s full band, marking a major event in her ongoing world tour. She will also be performing headline shows in Manchester and Glasgow. Angie has been riding a wave of success following the release of her critically acclaimed album Light, Dark, Light Again that earned her praise from the likes of Uncut, Gay Times, The Line of Best Fit, and Clash. She has just finished her SOLD-OUT North American tour, as well as a string of SOLD-OUT shows in Australia, including two iconic performances at the Sydney Opera House and a memorable appearance at Laneway Festival.
Alongside this, Fred Again.. brought Angie on stage with him at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena for an iconic performance of their collaborative track '(Angie) i've been lost'. Watch snippets of the show here and here.
This June, Angie will also be bringing her intimate solo act to the UK, including a performance on the Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury. Her London show at Lafayette on 20th June SOLD-OUT immediately and so two more dates were added on the 23rd and 24th June due to demand and both have SOLD-OUT. Full UK, EU and USA tour dates below.
Light, Dark, Light Again is about going to the darkest places inside yourself, facing your fears, and learning they can serve as a portal to something bigger, brighter and better. When Angie felt like her life had been falling apart, she slowed down with intention and started turning to nature: the murmurations of birds, the swaying of trees, movements in the sea, and realised there is much to be learned from the cycles of mother nature. The quiet but transformative revelations she had in this time have been poured into Light, Dark, Light Again, on which Angie examines her relationship with self, and the journey to becoming okay with whoever she is, and whatever the future holds.
