There’s both gravity and exuberance in Amy Montgomery’s voice. It’s an instrument of raw, visceral power that leaps out of the speakers, roars from the stage and captivates the listener. Having made waves over the last few years with critically acclaimed singles such as ‘Dangerous’, ‘Anywhere’, 'Intangible' and ‘Tree Song (Branch Out & Nourish My Veins)’, she returns in 2023 with a brand-new single that captures the sheer magic and exhilarating drama of her live performance.

‘Change Change’ is an epic rock song. Fierce, driven, anthemic and enormous, it packs a punch that will have set festivals alight this summer. Amy’s earthy, spiritual music channels both her Northern Irish roots and her wild passionate feminine energy, and on ‘Change Change’ this sheer intensity and flamboyance bursts forth in a war cry of frustration and acceptance.

“I’m gonna love, I’m gonna fight, I’m gonna sing, I’m gonna dance, I’m gonna grow, I’m gonna be, I’m gonna change!” she exclaims over the ferocious guitar-driven power of her band.

Amy says of the song: “Change Change is about realising the inevitable and in the face of uncertainty, it is choosing to sing an anthem of courage.”

‘Change Change’ is the second single to be taken from Amy’s forthcoming new EP, following last year’s raucously uplifting track ‘Meet You In The Sun’. Coming later this year, the EP will be her first release to also be available on vinyl and showcases what a sheer force of nature Amy has become.

Already a major live draw in Europe and Australia, with a headline slot in Vienna this summer at the Sisters Festival, Amy has also won a devoted home fanbase following previous performances at the likes of Glastonbury, Electric Picnic, Black Deer, Cambridge Folk Festival and many more.

In 2023 she’ll be performing at multiple festivals starting with The Great Escape in May. Ahead of that she has a special London show on April 11th at The 229 Club. Amy is also supporting The Slow Readers Club in Belfast and Dublin, and appearing at Wild Roots Festival in Sligo, Ireland. Further shows will be announced soon.

“Amy Montgomery delivered a stellar performance with raucous vocals that echo way beyond the main arena” – Clash

“The Irish singer/songwriter is a worldly, enigmatic head on young shoulders”
– Classic Rock

“If Alanis Morrissette and Trent Reznor were to have a baby and then send the baby to be babysat by Joni Mitchell for half the week and Janis Joplin for the other half, you would come pretty close to Amy Montgomery” – Scenestr, Australia
