“Alien Chicks are determined to unseat you at every turn. It’s total strangeness, but you suspect that’s exactly the way Alien Chicks want it” NME

“Alien Chicks have cemented themselves as an essential name on London’s gig circuit” DIY

“The trio are proving that in a time of carefully curated personas, there’s still room for a bit of glorious, unfiltered mayhem” Dork

“Their thunderous, flash-in-the-pan bouts of intensity” Clash

London dynamic post-punk trio Alien Chicks share pulsating new effort ‘Babe’, out today (November 12th) via Hideous Mink Records (Opus Kink, Fake Turins, Black Bordello) & SO Recordings (Enter Shikari, Deadletter, Big Special).

Marking their first slice of new material since the release of acclaimed debut EP ‘Indulging The Mobs’ last summer, ‘Babe’ showcases the band’s electrifying blend of punk, rap and jazz to perfection, with their raw and innovative sound capturing the spirit of London's underground music culture and earning countless fans in the process.

With a UK tour support ticked off alongside indie heavyweights English Teacher late last year, Alien Chicks have developed a dedicated live following through their high energy performances, selling out multiple London headliners over the last few years including the iconic Moth Club in July, as well as sharing stages alongside the likes of Fat Dog, Lambrini Girls, The Wytches and Warmduscher to name a few.

Praise across the press landscape has since followed from The Independent, NME, DIY, Dork, Clash, CMU and Rough Trade, whilst plaudits have circulated across the BBC Radio 1 (Jack Saunders, Arielle Free, Amy Lamé), BBC 6 Music (Steve Lamacq, Tom Robinson) and Radio X (John Kennedy) airwaves. Currently in the midst of an autumn EU tour (& a support date with The Libertines), Alien Chicks are primed to kick off 2025 in style with Independent Venue Week appearances and a run of shows in support of Pom Poko.

Speaking ahead of its release, Josef explained: “‘Babe’ is a letter of complaint dictating that no one ever truly has complete free will or choice over what they do in their life, partially as a result of the previous generations’ shortcomings. The current state of things has halved everyone’s motivations, cutting the extremity of our ideology and making everyone work automatically, causing a surge in mental health issues. I don’t feel represented by the current government but I still lust in every sense of the word. It pokes fun at the idea of being turned on by the submission that we’re going through and we’re all masochists, politically and socially.”

Alien Chicks’ ‘Babe’ is out now via Hideous Mink Records and SO Recordings and available on all digital platforms.
