Alex G released his ninth studio albumGod Save the Animals in 2022 to praise from critics across the board, who hailed it as “excellent” (Mojo), his “most accomplished album to date” (Uncut) and declared Alex as “always inventive” (The Times).  Alex followed the album’s release with an entirely sold out headlining tour across the UK, Europe and North America; gave high profile national TV performances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and CBS Saturday Morning; and made his debut on NPR’s Tiny DeskConcerts. God Save the Animals was named one of the best records of 2022 by Pitchfork, The Guardian, NPR, The Fader, Dazed, Stereogum, Billboard, Rolling Stone, NME, Crack and the New York Times, who called him “one of indie rock’s most mysterious, and best, songwriters.”
