Electro-emo angst-pop trio AIR DRAWN DAGGER have launched into 2024 with a brand new music video for the track ‘Title Fight’, taken from their latest EP ‘Songs To Fight The Gods To’.

‘Title Fight’ is “An ode to rage and letting loose. A celebration of how beautiful and God-like we are when we fully submit to our emotions and don't hold back. Like the moment the adrenaline kicks in watching a live band and the moshpit doesn't hurt. The feeling of angry tears streaming down your face as you yell threats to the Heavens, picking fights you know you can't win and the stars aligning when your brain goes into overdrive to exact the perfect revenge. Suddenly you feel real,” says vocalist Maisie.

She adds, “After a series of narrative heavy videos, we wanted to make something more performance based. That being said we couldn’t make a video completely void of world building. This video has vibes of being in the “up side down” or the “the other side”. We wanted to inject some elements of being in an afterlife/limbo to continue the trajectory from ‘Ghostsghostsghosts (Phantoms)’. There are elements throughout that are mirrored from previous videos and hidden props that enrich the video with story telling, adding depth to the ever expanding 'Daggerverse' "

The band’s latest EP ´Songs To Fight The Gods To’ EP, out now via Silent Cult Records, was recorded with Neil Kennedy (Creeper, Boston Manor) at The Ranch Studios. The five tracks cover topics of decrowning the patriarchy, the uncertainty of destiny, and rallying against a capitalist hellscrape, and embrace influences from 2000s Emo, such as My Chemical Romance and Paramore, to the 808 beats and synth elements of hip-hop and EDM production. Also heavily influenced by ancient mythology and narratively, the EP follows the journey of one person's battle at a fabled mountain, to stand face to face and destroy their gods.

The band embrace not fitting in, which resonates with their fan base and has built an organic community, coined as the ‘Daggerverse’. The genre-melting ensemble use gigs as a space to welcome those that don’t belong anywhere else, and to celebrate the darker side of people; in one big therapeutic party.

The band are currently preparing to play a homecoming show, and their biggest headline gig to date, to further celebrate the release of the ‘Songs To Fight The Gods To’ EP on 24th February at The Leadmill, Sheffield. Buy tickets HERE.
