Agrio ‘DJ's in Heaven’ Video feat. Scott McCloud

We are very excited to announce the release of a new video from the latest Agrio album featuring Scott McCloud of Girls Against Boys, Paramount Styles and Soulside.

Scott says… “‘DJ‘s in Heaven’ is a song about the ideas of eternity, infinity and beyond. Hard ideas to grasp. It is a fun lyrical theme to play with - and imagine DJ parties in various versions of “paradise“ with a juxtaposition of what we are doing to our own planet - Don’t Look down, the Worlds on Fire ”.

Agrio is David Flores and Jorge Fuertes from Madrid, Spain.

Following the "What if..." methodology they write instrumental songs that they send to a revolving cast of their talented, and generous, friends so they can add their magic. 'El Amigo Americano' compiles the initial trilogy of EPs featuring a different vocalist on each release and a new mastering by John McBain (Monster Magnet, Wellwater Conspiracy).

The ‘La Murga EP’ featuring Mark Lanegan was their debut out in February 2020, and they followed it that same Autumn with ‘The Thin  Man EP’ with Pete Simonelli (Enablers). Both were originally released on vinyl via the San Francisco based label Broken Clover Records. The last of the 3 EPs is ‘Repeat to Infinity EP’, this time with Scott  McCloud's (Girls Against Boys, New Wet Kojak, Paramount Styles) on vocals and guitar.

This new EP serves also as  the closing chapter on this trilogy in its physical vinyl form.

“'DJ's In Heaven' is a song that, in a poetically disturbing way, captures with special eloquence the feeling of our time." Rockdelux

"Each of the songs, including the instrumentals, are masterful pieces of adventurous, sultry music that sound more addictive with every listen. Very impressive, this record." Luminous Dash

"Despite El Amigo Americano being a combination of three separate recording sessions, Agrio’s nimble musicianship makes these songs feel like one cohesive unit. The duo’s ability to work to the strengths of their fellow collaborators is this release’s greatest boon, and alongside the most underrated voices of a generation, this really is a ride you don’t want to miss."
