Acid Jazz,/ Psychedelic Neo-Kraut Project ERICH ZANN ENSEMBLE Releases "Bieber Sessions" Album

The Erich Zann Ensemble consists of a changing line-up of different musicians who from time to time gather around bassist and electronic musician Frank Incense who is a member of the German Kraut Rock Line-up The Sun Or The Moon.

Based on a 1970s psychedelic free jazz piece by the legendary trumpet virtuoso don cherry, sprawling improvisation sessions unfolded on a hot weekend in the summer of 2023 at the vernerable Tonstudio Bieber in Offenbach, Germany. In addition to Frank Incense, several musicians from the jazz and world music scene were involved. The recordings of the sessions were then lovingly edited and supplemented by further guest musicians.
