Yesterday's Flowers release new single ‘Keep Moving’
FOR FANS OF: ALLAH LAS, LA LUZ, MAZZY STAR, TESS PARKS, ANGEL OLSEN, THE LIMIÑANAS, UNLOVED
It's been five years since cult garage-pop band Love L.U.V. called it a day – and now, founders Lucy and Tom Atkins are back as Yesterday's Flowers.
Since disbanding from the London quartet, upping sticks to the Kent coast has made its mark on the pair's sound. Reverb-drenched guitars are tuned to nature's 'healing' frequency of 432hz, vocals confidently dance between sugary restraint and all-out, guns-blazing powerhouse; and there's breathing space within the instrumentation, reflecting a new, slower pace of life away from the capital where they were both born and raised.
Debut single 'It's Been a Long Time' – recorded and produced by Charles Creese at Magpie Studios Kent and mastered by Andy Walter at Abbey Road Studios – landed in May 2023, with second single ‘Keep Moving’ following in July. Stay tuned for news of the band's anticipated live debut, set to be announced shortly.
