The Munich band A LIFE DIVIDED are an integral part of the scene. In 2003, the group was founded by singer Jürgen Plangger (also guitarist of Eisbrecher). Ever since they have been busy being by play sold-out headliner gigs on tour with Oomph!, Apocalyptica or Mono Inc. Plangger, guitarist Tony Berger, bassist Tobias Egger and drummer Manuel Di Camillo conquered not only the hearts of the fans, but also the German album charts.
While "Echoes" (2020) with its synth sounds, was a homage to the eighties, "Down The Spiral Of A Soul" gets harder again. Jürgen Plangger: “Of course, the album is also a mirror of the last few years. Life outside feels more minor than major. Are the best times already over? Sometimes you feel powerless in a downward spiral.”
A LIFE DIVIDED released the first single "Last Man Standing" in 2022. Plangger again: “The song deals with alienation – from people in the personal environment, but also from old certainties. A feeling that many of us have experienced in recent years. Strong people falter. Some even fall or retreat into the dark corners of their souls.” Another appetizer follows in January. “Best Time“, which explores narcissistic personalities, will be the second single of the album. But not everything is dark: "Life Goes On", for example, let’s a glimmer of hope shimmer."
"Down The Spiral Of A Soul" will be released July 7th, 2023. The album was recorded at A LIFE DIVIDED Studio, directed by mastermind Erik Damköhler, mix and master by Christoph Wieczorek (Annisokay) of Sawdust Studios.
