A Hypnotic Dream in the Desert – Palo Canto Returns with a Striking New Music Video
The rising stars of Hungary’s organic electronica scene, Palo Canto, welcome spring with a stunning music video filmed on the island of Fuerteventura. Following their debut album release last October—which has now surpassed one million streams—the duo is kicking off a new era with their latest track, Closer to the Sun, featuring Soma Nóvé.
Their unique sonic world blends hypnotic guitar riffs, warm textures, shamanic chanting, and pulsating rhythms. The fresh formation’s early releases were met with international praise—Mixmag, Sterofox, and Electronic Groove all highlighted their work, while Cercle featured several of their songs on official playlists. In just one year, the project has amassed over one million streams.
After their successful debut album, Palo Canto now opens a new chapter, returning with a visually captivating video filmed in Fuerteventura. Closer to the Sun once again features Soma Nóvé, whose deep vocals enhance the hypnotic atmosphere of the track. The dynamic composition fuses slowly building, transcendental soundscapes with the vibrant energy of four-on-the-floor rhythms—hallmarks of the organic electronica genre.
“After releasing our first album, we started working on new ideas almost immediately. Since October, we’ve laid the foundation for our second album, and we’ll be sharing several of these new tracks during our upcoming concerts. Visual storytelling is very important to us, so when Closer to the Sun was finished, we knew it deserved a video that would intensify its mood. That’s how we ended up spending two days on the Canary Islands with a fantastic crew—resulting in this new music video” said the duo about their latest release, which was once again mastered by Berlin-based Zino Mikorey (Thom Yorke, Ry X, Moby, Agnes Obel).
On April 17, Palo Canto invites audiences to Turbina for a journey beyond physical reality—to a place where you can find refuge at the oasis, feel renewed, where the boundaries between nature and consciousness blur, and the soul finds home. During the evening, they will premiere brand-new songs and present a special audiovisual experience. The band will also showcase their debut album at numerous domestic and international festivals this summer.
