Following the announcement of their forthcoming new album Automatic earlier this week, The Lumineers today announce a very special, stripped back date at London’s Hoxton Hall on Friday January 17th 2025, in partnership with War Child. The band’s highly-anticipated new album comes out on Dualtone worldwide on February 14th.
"We're incredibly grateful to The Lumineers and their team for donating their time and talents to help raise money for us with what I'm sure will be a beautifully intimate show at Hoxton Hall and fans are in for a real treat,” Clare Sanders-Wright, Live Music Lead at War Child said. “No child should ever be a part of war, and with the past year being particularly dire, it means that much more to be supported in our work, both by The Lumineers and their team, and to everyone that donates. Every penny raised helps us to provide desperately needed emergency aid, psychological support, education, and more for children caught in conflict zones around the world."
Tickets for The Lumineers’ special Hoxton Hall show will be available via a prize draw with fans able to purchase ballot entries for the chance to win a pair of tickets to the show HERE. The ballot will close at 11:59pm on Tuesday the 14th and winners will be informed 48 hours ahead of the show. For more info head here - https://www.thelumineers.com/.

The multi Platinum and chart-topping band’s fifth studio album and first new collection in more than three years, Automatic is heralded by the exhilarating first single, ‘Same Old Song’. True to form, the track, like the rest of the album, was written by co-founders Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites. Watch the video for ‘Same Old Song’ HERE.
After twenty years of musical partnership, Automatic finds Jeremiah Fraites and Wesley Schultz traveling new sonic and thematic terrain with their most raw and personal collection thus far. Both men, now dads, fully embraced the life-altering, unromantic challenges and rewards of family life. When they reconvened to write, the emerging songs featured a new, aching vulnerability, sly humour, and bold acknowledgements of need – for love, respect, and connection in an increasingly chaotic world. “People who think they have our number,” says Jeremiah Fraites, “they’ll be surprised.”
Recorded in less than a month, the album, as Schultz says, feels “very much of this era.” While songs like the self-effacing ‘Asshole’ and the spartan, wry ‘Better Day’ reveal a risky intimacy and heretofore untapped undercurrent of humour, Automatic remains what fans around the world have come to love about The Lumineers – shadowy themes wrapped in upbeat, infectious melodies, sky-high choruses destined to be sung by tens of thousands each night on the road, and what Fraites calls “a palpable sense of connection between Wes and me. There’s lots of love on this record.”
