Brooklyn, NY - May 29, 2024 - Brooklyn “Maximum Oi ’n B” rockers 45 ADAPTERS, whose new album “Unstoppable” is now available for pre-order, have released their second single “Refuse To Die.” CLICK HERE to listen to “Refuse To Die.”

This song is one of reflection for frontman Pickabar as he grapples with the positives and negatives of the skinhead subculture that he has been a part of for 30 years. “It's been a massive part of my life, my friendships, this band. However, skinhead is complicated and I think there's no shame in admitting the best and worst parts of the subculture instead of mythologizing it as some kind of volunteer group or something,” Pickabar explains.

Pickabar understands that over his three decades in the skinhead subculture that it has significantly evolved to his delight, noting it is far more peaceful than years past. Still, though, he recognizes he’s still in the minority who truly understand it. “In the end, very few people would be happy if their daughter brought home a skinhead boyfriend and that's part of what makes the subculture so great,” he laments.

45 Adapters have already released the title track to the album, “Unstoppable,” available on all streaming platforms. The song was one of the first tracks written after the band’s previous release, “Now Or Never,” and pays tribute to the old days of rock & roll that Pickabar and the band grew up on.

For “Unstoppable,” Singer Pickabar & bassist Carlos recruited three new members to the band, and the group sounds revitalized, laying down the album in just two days at Noisy Little Critter studio with Mike Bardzik at the helm. After fifteen years and numerous EPs, singles, splits, and collections, “Unstoppable” represents the band’s first proper full-length.

Across other album highlights such as “But I Can’t” and “Are You Down?”, Pickabar expounds on his thoughts on being a lifer in the skinhead subculture, interpersonal relationships, and life in general. And it is unlikely that the identity of the “Con Man From Queens” will be lost on listeners, no matter how far from the Five Boroughs they may come from.

The album is now available for pre-order in three versions: 12” Black Ice vinyl with White Splatter, 12” Black Ice vinyl with Silver Glitter, and classic 12” Black vinyl.
