1990’s Regional Music Favorite, THE FIFTH WHEEL Release new Record “TILT”
NE Ohio Regional Alternative Rock band, The Fifth Wheel is out with a full length record, TILT.
The band has already been releasing their music catalog through all the download and streaming services with release of the 1995 Scene Magazine Album on the Year, NOTHING, on April 7, 2023 .. Most of the band’s full catalog is now online. The band released EPIC on Oct 20, 2023, a live record from 1997 recorded at Peabody’s Down Under.
Now TFW is back with a all-new list of tracks recorded at Sta-Level Recording in Akron and CreekSide Audio in Norton and has release the first single 1983, is getting spins on college radio, WAPS The Summit and 107.3 Alternative Cleveland’s Live and Local
TFW is Josh Stone, Vocals and Acoustic Guitar; Tom Weyand, Bass Guitar; Matt Coughlin, Drums; and Jeff Koval, Electric Guitar. Tickets are on sale for the Record Release party April 26 at the Rialto Theatre in Akron on the band’s website www.thefifthwheelmusic.com.
Scene Magazine’s 1995 Band of the Year, The Fifth Wheel’s new record Tilt will drop on April 25th on all streaming platforms.
The record release concert will be hosted by 107.3’s Afternoon drive Jock, Carrie Danger and Dave Rich and Samatha Grace with open the show. There will also be a Surprise Ensemble performance during the encore with very special guests! The band also has a full calendar of shows planned for 2024.
“After the Reunion show in October, Tom and I sat down with different ideas we had been working on along with some new sketches. What came out of all that was classic Fifth Wheel with some sense of maturity. I think it is our Best work Yet.”, said Josh Stone
Bass Player Tom Weyand added, “We had some old 4 track recordings and some brand new themes that were dying to get out and arranged so Josh and I spent 2.5 months working them up, then we had a 2 month studio plan, working in 2 studios to capture everything perfectly. There are some rockers and some thoughtful compositions. All four of us nailed it and hope the fans love the outcome!”
